There were two events that shocked and amazed the general public when they exploded on the news networks this week. There was the disclosure that the BBC had been manipulating the news. When I told an acquaintance of mine he blanched pale, stood mute and unbelieving, mouth agape at the news that our very own National Broadcaster, the BBC could possibly be accused of such two-faced hypocrisy and the violation of its charter. Naturally that discovery had everyone surprised and even echoed around the corridors of Westminster, yes even surprising  the Mainstream Media

There was also the revelation that there had been accusations of sexual misconduct or “inappropriate behaviour” by Britains most senior Roman catholic Cardinal as a result he was forced to give in his notice. The Vatican was getting angrier by the minute. Not once have the media explained to me personally or to my people exactly what is meant by “inappropriate behaviour“, even Wikipedia was of no help as to the meaning of ‘inappropriate behaviour’. It is going to take some researching of leaked Papal Newsletters to get to the bottom of this scandal, with a heavy emphasis on ‘the bottom’

Admission of white flight also came as a complete surprise to everyone. The wholesale desertion of our exciting, vibrant, culturally enriched cities and towns by the fleeing white-Britons to safer, leafier villages in Dorset, Devon and Home Counties northwest of London was explained by the MSM simply because people are becoming more affluent thus heading for the country to purchase more expensive rural properties

600,000 White-English have fled London in a decade……er ….after becoming more affluent…..reported the BBC.

The BBC true to form reported the depiction of the change as a ‘story of success’ in which many white Britons had moved out to live by the sea or in the countryside and nothing to do with crime, lack of employment and housing, or the savage transformation of the ethnic landscape.

What is all this fuss about the BBC manipulating the news?

It was Sir Andrew Green, chairman of the Migration-Watch think-tank who said “it’s surely obvious that the main reason for white flight is because people are not willing to live in an environment which has changed beyond recognition and against their own wishes”

The BBC did not agree with this disgusting, racist, Narnsey-like comment comparing it to recollections reminiscent of Hitler’s Germany

An unexpected positive side effect of escaping to the country was the reduction in the odds of one’s 12 year old daughter-or younger being picked up in the local shopping centre for potential sexual grooming. More importantly and on a more sombre note, the possibility of someone’s young white-female daughter being murdered and served up as fast food in a Kebab shop after being fabulously enriched by dusky sexual predators

Suicide by children I believe is a rarity but because of the imbalance of foreign students in our schools due to the overwhelming numbers of students of third world immigrants this could change. There was the sad news of a 9 year old White-English boy who committed suicide after being bullied by children of the enrichers. 75% of the children at his school were from the third world….. I repeat 75%

Some people might accuse me of indulging in poor taste when I write that on a positive note that until his untimely death he was fortunate in a macabre sort of way it could have been worse, a lot worse in that many English schools that ratio is as high as 100%. For Instance Gladstone Primary school in Peterborough has 440 students not one is White-English. This will in turn one day mirror the population makeup of the UK.

This poor young white boy, aged just nine years old was also told by an "Asian" boy; "My dad says all the white people should be dead" From the mouths of children etc. The Headmaster a Mr Martin Collin when alerted by the boy’s mother of the bullying told the boys distraught parents “You didn't have to come to this school, you chose to come here". What can I add, a big thank you from Westminster perhaps?

A white-English girl who complained to her teacher she could not understand the language of her fellow students she was supposed to do a project with was pulled out the front of the class and accused by the screaming teacher of a racist attitude, the police were called and she spent 3 hours in a cell

In conclusion I write of a Local character reputed to be the last indigenous white person still residing in Hackney who stood dirty, unshaven in threadbare clothes fronting the counter of the Ikea café/restaurant in Haringey tending his order for meat balls and Chips. He was a hopeless drunk, arms outstretched adopting the pose of the statue of Jesus Christ on Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro pleading in a tortured, stentorian stage-like voice to the black bearded British-Pakistani behind the counter ‘’I want a n’orse a n’orse my kingdom for a n’orse”

Security was quickly called and the man was pulled unceremoniously pulled along the floor on his stomach and bundled out the side door by Polish security men

On a lighter note perhaps we should discuss assisted suicide. The assistance I refer to is being perpetrated by present and past members of the UK government in aiding and abetting the illegal practise of assisted suicide on its own indigenous people.

I suspect they may have been sedated, no not the politicians but the people by chemicals added to the water supply or perhaps by fall-out from Chemtrails, who knows? as there appears to be absolutely no objection whatsoever to this velvet glove genocide. So far the results are heartening for our government as the good news is that the white-indigenous islanders will be a minority in their own country by the middle of this century- if not before. Choose your political party; choose the time of your demise!

The die for a One Europe was cast many years ago. I was not privy to its planning so any conjecture on its formulation would be pure speculation on my part but I do know to change the political, social and ethnic structure and to destroy by default the quintessential essence that goes to make up a French person, an English person a Swede, a German, a Belgium, Danish or Greek and to convince these nations of culturally and technically advanced people to share their ancestral homeland and mutely accept their ethnic dilution without voice or protest and to convince their females to agree to corrupt their European genetic uniqueness by miscegenation with Sub-Saharan blacks, most if not all of them from failed societies, people whose disturbingly low IQ’s are not allowed to be debated for fear of breaching a number of ‘rules’ that have been enacted precisely for that purpose. It is not by accident they are still evolving and Europeans are developed societies. It would take too many decades for them to rival European ingenuity and expertise that is why they flock here.

These people have deliberately been brought into Europe for a purpose and you can be assured it is not for the benefit of Europeans. In 200 years Europeans as race without swift intervention will go the same way the Incas went.

Many of these ‘rules’ I wrote of are for the sole purpose of stifling by fear and threat any Nationalist and Patriotic feelings for one’s birth-right and the basic human right of free speech. No other person can tell another human what they can or cannot say if you are offended by a remark you return the compliment not resort to the Law books. In more enlightened times duels were fought over offensive remarks, knights did not go crying to the corrupt judiciary for monetary compensation.

A communist sitting in an Italian jail along with others might well have discussed the initial germ of a communist Shangri La for future Europe along with fascist thinkers but these men were not what we would regard as political movers and shakers like the powerful and wealthy beyond avarice Zionist vultures that control and feed off the ignorance of American people, Zionists that control American politics, media and the armaments industry.

I maintain it is impossible to truly understand what is going on. To the world architects I suspect it is driven by the real fear of overpopulation causing severe stress on the world’s dwindling resources, the looming shortage of oil waiting around the corner and the most worrying the resulting breakdown of society.

The British government can instruct the Police chiefs and media to keep a cap on English child rape by Pakistani immigrants and the socialist government of Sweden can keep the lid in the 100% of rape by immigrants from its past African colonies, this was a worrying admission by a female Swedish Police chief. If this nightmare is not stopped quickly a new word will have to be coined to describe True Chaos.

An interesting fact is one in four Swedish females will be raped in their life. There is also a rape epidemic in Norway. Last spring, the Oslo Police published a report on rape until 2010 in which the perpetrators of rape attacks were described as “predominantly of foreign origin.

So has the die really been cast? Do we know the true figure of non- Europeans in Europe. France has a Moslem population of 8-10 Million, England? Well even the government are hazy on immigrant figures and totally ignorant on illegal immigrant figures. In the UK escalating government costs rise as 25% as all babies born in UK are of foreign origin - mainly Muslim. In Egypt Nasserism dictated no religious or other political movement were allowed to impact government.

The Muslim Brotherhood were banned, but they waited quietly in the wings, today Egypt is not a secular society any more but is being ruled by an Islamic government and are in the throes of being ruled by Sharia Law and the people live with violence on the streets. Europe has a figure of around 16 million Islamists, if I might use the word Islamists judiciously, but when they have the numbers the newly coined word for True Chaos will be used quite universally.

Can anyone convince me that the headlong slide into the abyss can be halted? I feel there are too many variables

Golden Dawn has a 20% following even if they could possibly take government one day the Muslim population in Europe could by then have tripled, and an Egyptian type scenario is not out of the question, but the rape epidemic will continue, we are not dealing with civilised people here. It has been a hard slog for the European Architects but well worth it. The embryo of the European Empire was ushered in quietly without any fanfare as a customs agreement between three European countries but christened as BENELUX, a union of states comprising three neighbouring countries in north-western Europe: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In 1951 these countries joined West Germany, France, and Italy to form the European Coal and Steel Community, the predecessor of the European Economic Community (EEC) and today's European Union (EU)

You will note each one was referred to as a community or Union. Sandwiched between the EEC was the EC or European community, in those days they were still called communities but Marxist Europe still had a long way to go and it was a while before all pretence of Unions and Communities was thrown out of the window and the so called European Union shape-shifted into a full blown European Government with all the trapping of Nation Status, ambassadorial recognition with a Space agency and an embryonic foreign Ministry or European Union External Action Service and even a National Anthem and flag. Its Foreign Ministry WAS a for-seen consequence of the signing of the Lisbon Treaty.

This embryonic foreign office fulfils a long-cherished ambition of Euro-Federalists to give the EU a single identity on the world stage. Just like those other political contrivances, the single currency and the Schengen Agreement (both, incidentally, creaking under the strain), it is designed to give the union a legal personality that few of its citizens asked for or wanted

The Schengen Area operates like a single state for international travel with external border controls for travellers travelling in and out of its area or political bloc, but with no or minimal internal border controls. Other treaties saw our fishing rights and Agricultural policies being decided in consensus with 26 other European countries. This is the present state of play, but whose brainchild was it you might ask and what was its real purpose? Was it inspired originally by Marxist Doctrine? Was it a Marxist belief that drove the thinking of a little communist man named Gramsci, languishing in one of Mussolini’s Fascists jails in 1926? Perhaps he had scribbled his vision for a New Order in Europe on discarded pages of La Stampa while in Jail. He had been sentenced to 20 years in prison near Bari.

We must tnot  give all the credit to Gramsci when another Italian  Altiero Spenelli a European Federalist did much to theorise on the shape of the New Europe in fact he was regarded as one of the "Founding Fathers of the European Union.

Marx and Engels are seen by many as the most important Marxist thinkers of the twentieth century, Gramsci in particular was a key thinker in the development of Western Marxism. Marxism is complicated by the fact that Marx is by no means the only influence on this critical school; given the various sorts of political movements that have been inspired by this thinker (socialism, Trotskyism, communism, Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, radical democracy, etc.), one despairs at trying to provide a fair and lucid introduction

Some might warm to Gramsci when he talks of cultural Hegemony. To understand social class cultural hegemony proposes that the prevailing cultural norms of a society, which are imposed by the ruling class, must not be perceived as natural and inevitable, but must be recognized as artificial social constructs (institutions, practices, beliefs, et cetera) that must be investigated to discover their philosophic roots as instruments of social-class domination. One could say ones socio-economic position are made possible by and in some cases exploited by cultural hegemony. As a matter of interest Gramsci died in Rome in 1937 at the age of 46.

Some branches of socialism arose largely as a philosophical construct (e.g. utopian socialism); others in the heat of a revolution (e.g. early Marxism, Leninism). A few arose merely as the product of a ruling party. Marxism and Socialism are very close bed-fellows, one could say the labels are similar but they come in different tins.

The term socialism refers to two fundamentally different ideologies - democratic socialism and Marxist-Leninist socialism. The Marxist-Leninists sought to work towards a classless, stateless, moneyless or at best a single currency society with a Marxist ideology by first creating a socialist state, which represents the proletariat.

It is said that the Marxist-Leninist form of government has been in decline since the dissolution of the Soviet Union which might be true, but I believe a new birth is taking place and is the foundation of the NEW EUROPE is the rebirth of Marxist-Leninist socialism. We cannot blame the African who on landing at Heathrow Airport had never seen a sit-down toilet or an Indian family from the slums of Delhi whose communal toilet was a running sewer outside of their makeshift canvas and cardboard home, hidden behind a large hoarding adjacent to the Commonwealth Games precinct or a rural Bangladeshi peasant who did not know where his next meal was coming from, or many Pakistani's whose standard of living has never improved for over a 1000 years along with their violent religious teachings from the Koran which every word is accepted as Gospel. You cannot blame the poor desert followers of Islam who also took advantage of the generosity and the political stability to settle in the West; Mohammed’s people who fled their countries knowing all their monetary, housing and health needs will be attended to, but at the same time not wishing to integrate with the infidel but rather in the long term to Islamify their countries. It is a full-on invasion. These are people who were cordially invited into a Christian Europe and who one day intend to implement Sharia Law throughout its conquered territories complete with Islamic Schools, Madrassers and Mosques and the wailing of the Imams call to prayer will be heard from the tall Minarets in many of our towns and cities. Can you really blame the large family from The Sudan or Sri Lanka who took advantage of the United Nations re-settlement programme to bring their large brood to Europe and to join a ghetto populated by their own kind in which to settle, bringing their culture, their accepted standards of hygiene, their inhumane methods of the slaughter of animals which are not the standards of the countries that invited them in? One could ask the United Nations do they realise they alone are solely responsible for what is termed the Islamification of the West. These silk suited autocrats are so far removed from our society that I doubt whether they would understand the damage they are doing or the future consequences it will have for our children. What the hell were they thinking of aiding and abetting the destruction of Western Society? Ask that question and therein lays the answer. The European Union plan is to rule a Single Europe, a Marxist Dictatorship, the United Nations want to take it one step further, they want to see all Nations United, in truth a single global society, so a blending of all nations is serving its purpose. To achieve this end they need to have the collusion of all governments. The European Union now politically and economically controls its 27 satellite countries, its borders its laws and in the main, its currency. Any member country stepping out of line will risk sanctions or fines or both as are now causing street protests in a number of its satellite countries that its people refuse to accept the harsh cut-backs in spending to reduce their currency deficits. The socialist revolution throughout Europe was easily accomplished as most if not all are governed by Socialist Governments, even the UK which purports to have a coalition of Conservative parties but in truth its political ideology is identical to The Labour party. The UK is governed by a one party socialist inspired government. You have to ask the question why no politician of the single party system operating in the UK will ever discuss its greatest problem, the greatest source of its woes, the cause of its spiralling crime rate, the overcrowding, the reason for the lack of housing, the reason for a health service in crisis, racial riots, the reason for the fragmentation of its society and the frightening loss of the English character and the ghettozisation of many of its towns and cities. None of them will ever discuss the rampant and overwhelming, non-ending Tsunami flood of immigrants continuing daily to swarm into this country. Behind closed doors at the United Nations, extreme pressure is applied to first worlds representatives to accept a continuous flow of third world refugees regardless of the social damage it is causing. If its intention is to bring about a globalised society then its success is apparent in all First world countries. It is seen as a New Beginning, a Global Village. Obama spoke about change, quite a lot actually. Buzz words and phrases appeal to the masses; ‘Cool Britannia’ remember that one? Even the smooth talking double headed Hydra the Marxist Millibands only recently spoke of ‘Change’. If we are talking about similar changes we have been experiencing since 1948, then God help us. It is the death knell for European Nation States and everything that has cemented those Nation States together for centuries. There is help; at present the people can still decide their future. A word of caution, I would not count on this window of opportunity being left open for too long.

It is all in a name; Orwell wrote about it at length. In his future prophesy 1984 the dictionary was in its 6th edition. Proles were employed full time rewriting history and re defining words. It was in 1949 when he wrote his novel 1984. He wrote of his vision of our future, of stifling and persuasive government surveillance, of an oligarchical, authoritarian regime ruling over a collectivist society, According to Encyclopædia Britannica, "collectivism has found varying degrees of expression in the 20th century in such movements as socialism, communism, and fascism, that is the recipe, and these compose the basic ingredients. In the Ministry of Truth, protagonist Winston Smith is a civil servant responsible for perpetuating the Party's propaganda by revising historical records to render the Party omniscient and always correct, It is important to understand in political philosophy "collectivism" refers to any philosophy or system that puts any kind of group before the individual, in our case the single most driving Socialist/Marxist philosophy or ideology is Multiculturism which preferences Multiculturism over the individual.

Great Britain and Europe are now taking part in a grand experiment in the birth of a single collective society, for them hopefully from this revolting turmoil of a Multicultural mishmash will emerge a single race-less, state-less, nation-less group of people with no ethnic origin, or racial distinction. Britons as a distinct race WILL slowly disappear and a single, collective society will emerge. At the moment the monster that is in charge of this repulsive experiment rests comatose, like a scorpion sheltering under the hot noon-day sun, temporarily using the innocuous title of the European Union, but in time when the last foundation stone has been set in place that will change. Life in Orwell’s Oceanian province of Airstrip One which I can liken to contemporary Great Britain was a world of perpetual war, (war on Terror) pervasive government surveillance, (4.2 Million CCTV camera’s) and incessant public mind control (Political correctness). The individual is always subordinated to the state that is Orwell’s Oceania. You may not be aware but you are living in it.

It is interesting to note that George Orwell, a dedicated democratic socialist, believed that collectivism resulted in the empowerment of a minority of individuals that led to further oppression of the majority of the population in the name of some ideal such as freedom which is strange when the peoples freedom of speech and expression are being viciously curtailed by the state police in the name of forced Multiculti.

So what about the redefining of names? The ideology of Multiculturism may have forced our people to accept a diversity of cultures but at the same time because of this undemocratic imposition countries of Europe acquired a ghetto mentality naturally separating these cultures that refuse to take part in this vibrant, rich diversity and who prefer to live with their own people. Black flight to the Ghetto’s, white flight to the countryside, it is understandable, it’s the natural order of things being near and socializing with ones own tribe and kin.

The modern UK Ministry of Truth ordered the word Ghetto to be removed from the dictionary and replaced with the description, Visible Ethnic Clusters. Winston would have understood the importance of this. On the European mainland they were faced with a similar problem. In France Multiculturism has spawned 750 Zones de non-Droit or No Go zones, so like the UK’s use of Orwell’s ‘Newspeak’ the French redefines them as Zones Urbanes Sensibles translated meaning Sensitive Urban Zones, an understatement of rich proportions, as if altering names will change the meaning and make the problem go away.

These zones are violent areas spawned by Multiculturism, peopled by the dross of the underdeveloped world, areas which the police, ambulance, fire services, doctors, and postal authorities dare not enter, areas which in themselves are separate enclaves, whose day to day activities are run by the Imams, thugs and drug gangs. This hideous social experiment is only taking place within the developed world.

It is many of the day to day names that have been given new meaning as well, particularly names that might offend anyone or cause ordinary people and sexual deviants undue angst or stress. For those people that might fall into the above sexual deviant category I have just referred to I do not mean to be blatantly disrespectful but I use the word sexual deviant with some degree of caution in that their sexual habits do deviate somewhat from the accepted norm. Homosexuals who were once referred to as Queers, Pansies, ‘orses ‘oofs, Nancy boys, Poofters and a host of other names are now referred to as Gay. I must admit I cannot for the life of me see the connection, for there is nothing gay about holding hands with ones hollow-eyed partner lying in a hospital bed slowly dying of aids.

Dwarfs are now little people, no-one is crippled they are all mobility challenged. I have sometimes wondered why there are disabled parking places outside ice skating rinks. Deaf people are now hearing impaired.

If and when the EU advocates the lowering of the age of sexual consent for children I assume the word Paedophile will also be removed from our vocabulary and politicians, members of the clergy and judges will be able to breathe a lot easier.

How about neutralizing gender? We now have Oscars for best Actor (female) and Oscars for best actor (male). The Noun, Actress has now been fully deleted from the dictionary this greatly pleases ladies of the opposite sex who still rant incessantly about non existent glass ceilings. Policemen are now Policepersons. The description Police Force is too confronting for our ever-growing, medieval, bearded, swarthy temporary desert visitors so it is now referred to as the Police Service. Retarded people are intellectually challenged, and so it goes on as ad nausea.

I do see a lot of frightening similarities between the madness gripping the first world and George Orwell’s Oceania, obviously the Proles do not. The whole nightmarish system only needs ramping up a little which time will attend to, unless the Proles happen to awaken first.

To put this madness into some form of perspective how about this one. Theme park bosses have re-named their colony of fairy penguins amid fears they could upset the ‘gay’ community. Managers at Sea World, on Australia’s Gold Coast, are now calling the species "little penguins" in case associations with the word "fairy" offend visitors to the park.

I have seen stickers on the back of Taxis announcing ‘Proud to be a Cabbie’ I am waiting patiently to see stickers informing the world that the driver is ‘Proud to be a Fairy’ I feel it will be a long time coming.

During the incessant brainwashing inflicted on the Proles in Orwell’s 1984 this was the recurring message in Winston’s mind;

And that is precisely what our Totalitarian Government and the treasonous Monarchy have done to the people of this country. I do not want to spoil your day but for the optimists among you, in the prophesy 1984 the Proles never did wake up.

There are still many people in the UK, who have strong nationalistic tendencies. This does not fit snugly into the long term plans of the Fabians. Fabianism is creeping socialism. Their ultimate aim or high ‘orgasm’ is one world government, one nation, one race and one people. George Bernard Shaw and H.G. Wells were both members of the Fabians as is Peter Mandelson. H.G. Wells travelled to Russia and tried to convince Stalin this form of world government might be worth considering, but got very short shrift. Obviously communism was a better option for Stalin and for his servile people.

Many of our leaders were educated at the London School of Economics and one should take time out to read its history. The London School of Economics was founded in 1895 by Beatrice and Sidney Webb, initially funded by a bequest of £20,000 from the estate of Henry Hunt Hutchinson. Hutchinson, a lawyer and member of the Fabians’ Society, left the money in trust, to be put "towards advancing its Fabians’ Society's objectives in any way they, the trustees deem advisable"
The Sunday Times' recent profile of LSE for the 2008 Sunday Times University Guide, commented:

"There are many who have achieved in the world of politics, business or academia who can trace their success to the years they spent at the LSE. They are ‘inspired’ by tuition from academics that are familiar faces, if not household names. LSE students take their first steps to greatness in the debating chambers, cafes, bars and even occasionally in their seminar groups during three or four years of studying."

The London School of Economics has always been recognized as the centre for the indoctrination of radical socialists, many who go on to enter politics, at the same time we must bear in mind the original purpose of the LSE was to further its original purpose of its founders and to teach the Fabians philosophy by its far left socialist tutors.

If you study Marx' Communist Manifesto you will find that in essence Marx said the proletarian revolution would establish the socialist dictatorship of the proletariat. He said to achieve the socialist dictatorship of the proletariat, three things would have to be accomplished: (1) The elimination of all right to private property; (2) The dissolution of the family unit; and (3) Destruction of what Marx referred to as the "opiate" of the people, religion. This is exactly what we are now witnessing in the UK.

Besides Statism, Socialism is the form of government we have in the UK at present. "Socialism is usually defined as government ownership and/or control over the basic means of production and distribution of goods and services. When analysed this means government control over everything, including you. All controls are "people" controls. If the government controls these areas it can eventually do just exactly as Marx set out to do, destroy the right to private property, eliminate the family and wipe out religion.

Multiculturalism (fuelled by high immigration) erodes the dominant culture of a country. The paradox of multiculturalism is that it will eventually erode the differences between the cultures of the world, resulting in more uniformity of culture. Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Russian dissident and intellectual said: "The more centralised a nation becomes the greater the corruption at the top". The same applies to a World Government.

We are already seeing this corruption by the blatant abuse of the expenses of our political leaders; these are the people who become indignant, turn crimson and fume it is of no business of the peasantry to be questioning or investigating their bogus expense claims, even though it is the pliant peasantry that fund their comfortable and socially advantaged and elitist segregated life styles. Self-centred bloody hypocrites!

We can see these slowly changing images like death in slow motion. The plan to have centralised world control (World Government), uniformity and conformity have to be firstly established throughout the world. This is happening in many areas:

In the law making body, we have the United Nations (UN) and UN treaties. Yes, there is a plan and it extends much further than a Pan European dictatorship, it IS a plan for a New World Order. Today there are also huge changes taking place in America, for instance Hussain Obama’s plan to socialise everything and considering offering amnesty for millions of illegals. How will they fund this? Well if the money runs out then borrow even more from China or just keep the money presses going night and day and when the real economic crisis comes, then the bang will be bigger than that of the Krakatoa.

I read the USA’S debt, taking derivatives into account, is something like 325 times its GDP, it can NEVER be paid off.

This was written for US consumption but it applies right across the western media.

The following was apparently released by the Society of Professional Journalists shortly after the 9/11 attacks: Guidelines for Countering Racial, Ethnic and Religious Profiling.

Just as the UK's National Union of Journalists has banned its members from any "positive" reporting of nationalist news, so too journalists in the US march in politically correct lockstep:

On Oct. 6 at its National Convention in Seattle, the Society of Professional Journalists passed a resolution urging members and fellow journalists to take steps against racial profiling in their coverage of the war on terrorism and to reaffirm their commitment to:

— Use language that is informative and not inflammatory;

— Portray Muslims, Arabs and Middle Eastern and South Asian Americans in the richness of their diverse experiences;

— Seek truth through a variety of voices and perspectives that help audiences understand the complexities of the events in Pennsylvania, New York City and Washington, D.C.

— Seek out people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds when photographing Americans mourning those lost in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

— Seek out people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds when photographing rescue and other public service workers and military personnel.

— Do not represent Arab Americans and Muslims as monolithic groups. Avoid conveying the impression that all Arab Americans and Muslims wear traditional clothing.

— Use photos and features to demystify veils, turbans and other cultural articles and customs.

Stories

— Seek out and include Arabs and Arab Americans, Muslims, South Asians and men and women of Middle Eastern descent in all stories about the war, not just those about Arab and Muslim communities or racial profiling.

— Cover the victims of harassment, murder and other hate crimes as thoroughly as you cover the victims of overt terrorist attacks.

— Make an extra effort to include olive-complexioned and darker men and women, Sikhs, Muslims and devout religious people of all types in arts, business, society columns and all other news and feature coverage, not just stories about the crisis.

— Seek out experts on military strategies, public safety, diplomacy, economics and other pertinent topics who run the spectrum of race, class, gender and geography.

— When writing about terrorism, remember to include white supremacist, radical anti-abortionists and other groups with a history of such activity.


— Do not imply that kneeling on the floor praying, listening to Arabic music or reciting from the Quran are peculiar activities.

— When describing Islam, keep in mind there are large populations of Muslims around the world, including in Africa, Asia, Canada, Europe, India and the United States. Distinguish between various Muslim states; do not lump them together as in constructions such as “the fury of the Muslim world.”

— Avoid using word combinations such as “Islamic terrorist” or “Muslim extremist” that are misleading because they link whole religions to criminal activity. Be specific: Alternate choices, depending on context, include “Al Qaeda terrorists” or, to describe the broad range of groups involved in Islamic politics, “political Islamists.” Do not use religious characterizations as shorthand when geographic, political, socioeconomic or other distinctions might be more accurate.

— Avoid using terms such as “jihad” unless you are certain of their precise meaning and include the context when they are used in quotations. The basic meaning of “jihad” is to exert oneself for the good of Islam and to better oneself.

— Consult the Library of Congress guide for transliteration of Arabic names and Muslim or Arab words to the Roman alphabet. Use spellings preferred by the American Muslim Council, including “Muhammad,” “Quran,” and “Makkah,” not “Mecca.”

— Regularly seek out a variety of perspectives for your opinion pieces. Check your coverage against the five Maynard Institute for Journalism Education fault lines of race and ethnicity, class, geography, gender and generation.

— Ask men and women from within targeted communities to review your coverage and make suggestions.

My words: finally approach the Muslim Council of Great Britain to confirm if any news story might be deemed offensive to Islam.
